Pinnacle will be celebrating this week after they picked up Esports Bookmaker of the Year at the SBC Awards held at the prestigious Under the Bridge club on Wednesday evening.
Coming in a close second was Sky Bet who took home the title of ‘Highly Commended’.
This makes for a fantastic fortnight for the Pinnacle esports team however as the bookmaker recently picked up the same title at the EGR Awards.
A host of other igaming awards were presented on the night by Hayley , and there were five to six shortlisted companies in each category with a panel of judges having the final say following a public vote.
Up for the esports award were Pinnacle, Sky Bet, VitalBet, Unikrn and Danske Spil (eOddSet). Esports supplier Betradar sponsored the award with James Watson, Sportradar’s Head of Esports, presenting the gong to Pinnacle’s Marketing Director Harry Lang.
Speaking to Esports Insider after the event, Watson commented: “At Betradar we have been doing our best to offer the most credible esports solutions for a number of years now, so it made perfect sense to us that we sponsor the Esports Bookmaker of the Year category at the SBC Awards.
“A huge congratulations to Pinnacle, who have been offering esports for a good number of years now and who saw off some serious competition to take the silverware. I have no doubt that the competition will be even hotter come 2017’s Awards.”
Esports Insider says: Congratulations to both Pinnacle and Sky Bet who succeeded in a hard fought category. As James Watson mentioned, we can expect that the race for 2017 best esports bookie will be an even harder fought battle.
