The first esports business conference in Poland will be taking place on March 23rd in Warsaw.

The aim of the eSPORTconf Poland is to help drive the industry in Europe with a specific focus on Poland and Eastern Europe. Poland boasts some considerable wealth when it comes to esports talent, such as NEO and TaZ at Virtus.pro whilst Kinguin has its headquarters in Warsaw. The company also has offices in Poznan, Sofia, Berlin and more. When it comes to esports Poland is best known as being the home of the IEM Katowice, whilst Newzoo has reported that there are over 500,000 fans in the country.

At the March event there’ll be representatives from esports teams, the world of betting, suppliers, developers, investors and more. It’s being put on by Smile-Expo.

Max Kotelevskyi, eSPORTconf Poland PR Manager said: “Polish gamers and teams are highly valued worldwide and well regarded in the most popular gaming disciplines. However, there is no major industry business platform capable of bringing together all the representatives focused on the development of the local esports industry.

“Our goal is to create such platform for esports business in Poland. We’ve set our sights on uniting the representatives of the Eastern European esports industry aiming at full and equal access to international markets.”

Esports Insider says: With IEM Katowice and Kinguin calling Poland home it’s a country with some reputation when it comes to esports. This event is just one of a similar vein of such conferences being put on by Smile-Expo with Russia and Ukraine the other current locales.
