PvPRO.com has announced Betway will be the Head Sponsor of the ESG Tour in Mykonos this year.

The tour, which kicks off on September 7th, will see eight top CS:GO teams battling it out for the €200,000 (£184,188) prize purse. It’s all taking place in a rather lavish setting, a private resort named Destiny Villa on the island of Mykonos. Teams include Virtus Pro, BiG, Team Liquid, Team EnVyUs, SK Gaming, mouz and more. Betway only announced its partnership with the ESL Pro League earlier this month making it an excellent end to the summer for the operator’s esports department. It should also help to ease the pain of the loss of the popular NiP partnership which was forced through due to Riot’s regulations and the team’s decision to enter League of Legends.

As part of this arrangement with the ESG Tour, Betway will provide viewers with live odds updates throughout the tournament broadcast and take on the naming rights to the ESG Tour in Mykonos.

Anthony Werkman, Director of Marketing and Operations at Betway, commented: “We are thrilled to partner with PvPRO.com for the ESG Tour in Mykonos. We can’t wait to see how the world’s best teams perform in this unique and exciting tournament location next week.

“Our latest partnership is a continued sign of our commitment to the esports industry, as we look to become increasingly involved through team and competition sponsorship, backed up by our unique and exclusive live odds feeds into the broadcast.”

Stamos Venios, CEO of PvPRO Ltd, added: “We are very happy to partner with a brand that is fully committed to growing the industry with financial investment and broadcast innovation, as well as a strong focus on integrity.

“We expect fans of the Betway ESG Tour to appreciate what this partnership will bring to the table of what is an already strong product in the sector.”

Esports Insider says: With this title sponsorship of the ESG Tour coupled with the partnership with the ESL Pro League, Betway is making a strong bid to be the first bookmaker CS:GO fans think of. It continues to do good work to support the scene too and fans will come to recognise this.
