Mucha has plenty of experience in high profile companies, having previously held senior positions at Adidas, Microsoft, Universal Music, and Activision. As a whole, the new COO of G2 Esports has over 15 years of experience in retail, traditional sports, and gaming.

Peter Mucha, COO of G2 Esports discussed his new role: “I’m pleased to join G2 Esports as Chief Operating Officer to work alongside passionate leaders and teams representing some of the best competitive and entertaining players around the globe. I’ve always wanted to build an iconic brand and contribute to the overall success of dynamic, high-growth company that’s on the verge of a massive breakthrough – and G2 Esports is precisely that.”

The search for the organisation’s new COO was led by Chris Jordan, Global Head of Esports for SRi – a firm that focuses on executive and management talent in sports, media, and entertainment.

Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez, Founder of G2 Esports also spoke on the hire: “Peter’s dynamic skills and wide breadth of experience in driving business development will be invaluable to G2 Esports as we continue to build upon our current momentum. This exciting new addition to our executive team aligns with our vision to professionalize our operations while aiming to work alongside the rockstars of this and other industries.”

Esports Insider says: While it’s easy to initially think it’s amazing when a big-time executive enters the esports industry, we just hope his experience in traditional sports – and more recently, gaming – can translate into delivering the goods for G2 Esports. Mucha could well be a key hire for the organisation in the upcoming months and years.
