International brand, website, and boutique Futbolita are partnering up with Singaporean organisation Team Flash, the brand announced through Twitter.
Known as the ‘Female Voice of Football’, Futbolita was created by journalist Ash Hashim. The website covers football and fan culture in Latin America and Europe. The content on the website includes interviews with famous football players, feature pieces and coverage in the most important leagues in Europe.
Now, Futbolita is transitioning into esports in collaboration with Team Flash. The organisation established itself as a reference for esports in Southeast Asia in a short period of time. Team Flash has active squads in Mobile Legends, Arena of Valor, Hearthstone, Fortnite, and FIFA.
Back in March, Team Flash FIFA squad won the gold medal and a cash prize of $108,000 (£83,000) at the EA Champions Cup (EACC). The team continued its road to success in April when Joseph ‘Zarate’ Yeo and Amraan “Amraan” Gani qualified for the FIFA eWorld Cup. On September 30, the team shared through Twitter that Amraan and Fardeen “Fardhino” Hussain qualified for the EACC Winter to be celebrated next November.
On Twitter, Futbolita said: “We are proud to announce that we have partnered with Singapore’s #1 esports Team Flash and are working on many exciting projects! Stay tuned for more!”
Team Flash shared the sentiment, on Facebook: “Excited to announce our official partnership with Futbolita, the number one female football voice in Asia. Futbolita will be our FIFA team’s official brand ambassador for the 2018/19 season. We are already working on exciting projects and making great content together.”
