North American organisation 100 Thieves is continuing on its quest for growth with a series of new hires.

Founded by former Call of Duty professional Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag, the organisation has been subject to rapid growth over the past 12 months.

To help balance and maintain its three focuses of competition, apparel, and content, 100 Thieves has hired three new individuals in the past couple of days. Matty Lee, former Vice President of West Coast Sales at Barstool Sports, has joined as the Vice President of Partnerships, Chad Steiner, former Account Executive at Hypebeast, was hired as Account Director, and Mike Aransky, formerly Senior Management of Development at IGN Entertainment, has boarded as Executive Producer.

Despite only just hiring somebody to take over the reigns in the department of partnerships, the organisation announced a new deal with Red Bull in November. It also counts Quicken Loans by Rocket Mortgage and Razer as partners.

In October, 100 Thieves announced the results of its Series A funding round. The round was co-led by recording artist Drake and entertainment industry heavyweight Scooter Braun, seeing them both become co-owners and strategic advisors of the organisation. Other investors in the round included Sequoia Capital, WndrCo, Marc Benioff, Tao Capital, Green Bay Ventures, and Advancit Capital.

Esports Insider says: 100 Thieves has made plenty of great moves in recent months and it continues to impress. These new hires take experienced folk from other industries and bring them into esports to utilise their varied expertise, which is commendable. Hopefully Haag and co. have taken notice of organisations growing too quickly, however.
