Overwatch League enters multi-year deal with Fanatics

Overwatch League Fanatics

Activision Blizzard’s Overwatch League has entered a multi-year deal with sports merchandise giant Fanatics.

The partnership will get underway ahead of the second season, with merchandise being available for purchase on a dedicated website and on sites in Fanatics’ network.

SK Gaming partners with INTERSPORT for team jerseys

SK Gaming INTERSPORT

One of 10 long-term partners of Riot Games’ LEC, SK Gaming has entered a partnership with INTERSPORT for a new team jersey.

Initiated by Jung von Matt/SPORTS, the jersey will be produced exclusively and will be available for purchase through INTERSPORT – both online and in stores across Germany.

Allegiance to shut down operations in 2019

Allegiance

Allegiance has announced that, as per a mutual decision with parent company Infinite Esports and Entertainment, it will close its doors at the end of the year.

The brand was revived in February of this year when it was acquired by OpTic Gaming’s parent company. This news follows from a mass culling of staff by Infinite.

Vancouver Titans is the newest Overwatch League franchise

Vancouver Titans

The penultimate expansion franchise in the Overwatch League to be revealed, the Vancouver Titans have arrived.

Owned by the Aquilini Group, the branding is a sasquatch with blue and green as the primary colours. The team is partnered with Luminosity Gaming.

Washington Justice is final Overwatch League franchise to be announced

Washington Justice

Washington Justice, owned by Washington Esports Ventures, was the eighth and final new franchise to join the Overwatch League.

The full branding has been presented with a red, white, and blue shield acting as the logo. The shield is “crowned with a single white star in a blue setting as an ode to the American flag, our capital city, and as a symbol of unity”.
