Gaming chair manufacturer noblechairs has partnered up with Mercedes-AMG Pertonas Motorsport to unveil a line of special edition chairs. The new Mercedes seats are aimed at Formula 1 enthusiasts will feature as part of noblechairs’ ‘EPIC’ series.
The collaboration between the two companies follows the release of the officially sponsored F1 2019 game launched by Codemasters, and the chairs come at a starting price of £349.90. The custom design takes inspiration from the official Formula 1 car and features the Mercedes AMG-Petronas Motorsport logo at the head, a series of the three-point Mercedes star down the back, and ‘Petronas green’ stitching. Lumbar and neck pillows also feature the special edition branding.
The special edition chairs will be rolled out at the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Esports Training Facility at the Formula One Team’s Operations Centre in Brackley, UK. The Mercedes esports team took home the double of both Driver and Constructor titles at last year’s F1 New Balance Esports Series thanks to strong and consistent results from two-time champion Brendon Leigh as well as Hungarian driver Daniel Bereznay.
Esports Insider says: This move is a boon for noblechairs, and the timing makes a lot of sense with the hype and solid reviews of F1 2019 as the best Formula One game to date. Collaborating with a big name like Mercedes is a solid gain as gaming chair manufacturers continue to forge partnerships with bigger brands, such as Secretlab’s Disneyland Paris Major.
