ECPI University has named OMEN by HP as an official partner of its ECPI Rams esports team.
The deal sees OMEN by HP provide gaming computers for all of the ECPI eSports Arenas located across the university.
Mike Glover, Esports Athletic Director at ECPI University commented on the partnership in a release: “The deal reached with OMEN is a significant milestone in our esports program. OMEN has a great reputation in the gaming world for providing high-end, quality machines to the esports community. Not only does this partnership allow us to place the best possible equipment in front of our esports student athletes, it will also allow us to expand our program much faster and further than expected.”
ECPI Rams was first formed back in June 2018 when the university joined the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE). The team currently compete across a variety of games throughout the year, including Overwatch, League of Legends, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone, and Rocket League. ECPI University offers scholarships for esports players who meet the competitive and academic requirements of the program.
OMEN by HP has become a well-known face in the world of esports with a growing number of partnerships. In January, RFRSH Entertainment announced a partnership which would see the hardware brand cover all of its properties including BLAST Pro Series, Astralis, and Origen.
