German esports organisation Berlin International Gaming (BIG) has extended and expanded its existing partnership with HP‘s gaming brand OMEN.

As a result, the two parties will collaborate to promote diversity and develop talent in esports.

The extension marks the fifth year of BIG’s partnership with OMEN. Over the past four years, the brand has sponsored the organisation’s VALORANT, CS:GO, League of Legends and Trackmania rosters. In addition, OMEN is the title sponsor of BIG’s academy team.

Alongside supporting its main and academy CS:GO rosters, the gaming brand will assist in promoting the organisation’s female CS:GO roster currently competing in the ESL Impact tournament circuit. According to a release, OMEN will help BIG EQUIPA reach their ‘professional aspirations’ over the next 12 months.

During the first half of 2022, BIG has renewed four existing partnerships. In addition to OMEN, it has extended deals with the likes of die Bayerische, mineral water brand Volvic, gaming chair manufacturer Backforce, and stream management platform Streamcoi.

For OMEN, this is the second partnership expansion of 2022. In June, the brand extended its deal with Belong Gaming Arenas, a subsidiary of esports and gaming technology company Vindex.

Daniel Finkler, CEO of BIG, spoke on the extension: “For more than four years, OMEN has been an incredibly important pillar as a partner for BIG, and have contributed significantly to our development.”

“In the future, we will increasingly support talented, female gamers to enable them to realise their dream of a professional career in esports – OMEN will act as a partner and sponsor as an important driver of this new chapter.”
