Esports-focused betting company GG.BET has announced a partnership with Brazilian streamer Alexandre ‘Gaules’ Borba Chiqueta.
As a result, the company will become the official betting partner of the Portuguese-language stream of the BLAST Paris Major being held on Gaules’ Twitch channel.
This is not the first time the GG.BET and Gaules have collaborated together. Earlier in 2023, both parties joined forces for the RMR qualifiers ahead of the Major, where the company’s branding appeared across the streamer’s broadcast.
As part of the deal, subscribers to Gaules’ channel will have access to a bonus to use on the GG.BET website during the Major. GG.BET is also familiar with partnering with Valve, the developer and publisher of CS:GO. In September 2022, the bookmaker became a partner of Dota 2’s The International.
The BLAST Paris Major is the final event taking place on CS:GO before the circuit switches to Counter-Strike 2 for the 2024 season. The tournament begins on May 8th with 24 teams competing for $1.25m (~£993,537) in prize money.
In March, tournament organiser PGL announced it will host the first Counter-Strike 2 Major in March 2024 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Dmitry Voshkarin, CEO of GG.BET, spoke on the deal: “Gaules is the most popular Brazilian esports talent who is well known and loved across the Portuguese-speaking world.
“Moreover, his streams of tournament regularly attract more viewers than the biggest official tournament organisers’ streams. Teaming up with such a huge personality is a massive win for GG.BET, as it’s an important stepping stone towards reaching a new audience.”
