PlayStar Casino and SGG Media are collaborating to produce the interactive Twitch program “Casino Stream,” which is one of the first of its kind aimed at streaming online casino gaming.

The show, which will be exclusively branded by PlayStar, will feature three streamers based in New Jersey who will play a variety of casino and online slot games through PlayStar’s online casino. New Jersey is one of four states where online casino gaming is legal, and PlayStar only operates in the Garden State.

The goal is to show viewers the ropes of online casino gaming while also empowering them to cut through the intimidation of online gaming by receiving answers in real-time.

“PlayStar Casino is excited to partner with SGG Media in allowing New Jersey casino enthusiasts to watch and play our online slots and games,” PlayStar’s chief marketing officer Jon Bowden said in a statement.

“We provide the excitement of live, legal casino games to be played online by New Jersey residents while a large viewership can view the action in real-time.”

“Casino Stream” serves as a huge win for both brands, since Twitch initially banned gambling-type programming from its platform for unlicensed U.S. casinos. The show is likely to open the door for further casino-style gaming shows.

PlayStar likely chose a partnership with SGG since it launched its own sports-gambling show “Live Drive” on Twitch, YouTube and others on Oct. 1, 2023. SGG’s audience exceeds 25,000, and the show became the first legal and licensed sports betting stream in the United States.

But “Casino Stream” intends to be the first of its kind for casino gaming.

“Our ‘Casino Stream’ show is focused on being completely compliant with all state gambling laws,” SGG CEO Troy Paul said.

“PlayStar is a licensed New Jersey casino, and we will only allow verified adult gamblers located in New Jersey to play. Our streaming show hosts bring the thrill of live bets and viewing big wins to our huge online audience.”

PlayStar may only operate in New Jersey, but it is a major player in online casino gaming in Europe and the U.K. It is likely to continue growing in the U.S. as the country opens the door for online casino gaming – there are only six states that allow legal online casino gaming, even though online sports betting is available in more than two dozen states.
