The Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) enters a critical stage in the circuit as the top teams head to Boston, Massachusetts, US, for the first Major of the season.

Here is everything to know about the RLCS Boston Major, including its schedule, prize pool, format and more.

The event is scheduled to take place from February 19th to 22nd, featuring a $345,000 (~£250,570) prize pool. Additionally, RLCS Circuit Ranking Points will be up for grabs, which are required to secure a place at the RLCS 2026 World Championship or the Last Chance Qualifier.

A total of 16 teams are anticipated to compete at the Boston Major from across the globe. Teams will qualify through the regional rankings, which cover Europe, North America, Oceania, South America, MENA, Asia and Pacific, and Sub-Saharan Africa regions.

Teams such as Karmine Corp, the winners of the Kick-Off Weekend LAN, are confirmed to participate, though as of writing the rest have yet to be decided.

RLCS Boston Major Format

The first major of RLCS 2026 will kick off with the Group Stage, running from February 19th to 20th. 16 teams will be split into groups of four, playing in a single round-robin format. Each team will play three matches, with each game being best-of-five.

The winner of each group will advance to the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs, the runner-ups will move on to the Lower Brackets, while the rest will be eliminated. The Playoffs will unfold in front of a live crowd.

Running from February 21st to 22nd, 2026, the Playoffs will shift to an AFL Final Eight system. In this system, the top four teams from the Group Stage will get a second chance if they lose early, while the rest are eliminated after one loss.

All matches will be best-of-seven series, with the winner securing $102,000 (~£74,000) in winnings and earning 30 RLCS Circuit Ranking Points.

How to Watch Rocket League Boston Major?

Tickets are currently available for the RLCS Boston Major, where attendees can secure seating in the Agganis Arena. Prices range from $61 (~£44) to as high as $181 (~£131) for the best seats in the venue.

For those who cannot attend in person, all matches will also be broadcast live on the official Rocket League Esports Twitch and YouTube channels.
