Following the conclusion of the Group Stage, in which four teams have been eliminated, the Six Invitational 2026 Playoffs are already underway.

16 teams have moved on to the Playoffs to fight for a place in the Grand Finals at Paris’ Adidas Arena and be crowned this year’s champion.

Following the results of the Group Stage, the first batch of teams to be eliminated were FEARX, Elevate, Black Dragons, and ENTERPRISE Esports. The rosters leave the competition after placing at the bottom of the respective groups.

As of writing, the Playoffs have already seen several R6 teams relegated to the Lower Brackets. M80 is set to face G2 Esports, with the winner playing against Team Secret. The same case applies for Dplus and Daystar, with either one facing off against Weibo Gaming.

Team Heretics and Oxygen Esports will play to avoid elimination, with the winner advancing to play against Fluxo W7M.

Finally, Shopify Rebellion and Ninjas in Pyjamas will compete in the lower brackets, with the winner moving on to compete against Spacestation Gaming.

The Upper Bracket Semi-Finals consist of Wildcard against FaZe Clan, and FURIA versus Team Falcons. The best two teams will move on to the Upper Bracket Finals, where the first to reach the Grand Finals will be decided.

Teams to Look Out For in The Playoffs

One of the frontrunners in the Six Invitational 2026 is last year’s champions, FaZe Clan. The roster was able to top its respective pool during the Group Stage, outperforming Shopify Rebellion and G2 Esports. Many fans anticipate whether the organisation will be the first to achieve a back-to-back win in the Six Invitational.

G2 Esports is another organisation to keep an eye on in the Playoffs, as the only organisation so far to have won the Six Invitational more than once in 2023 and 2019. However, the team has struggled in the tournament so far. After barely avoiding elimination in the Group Stage, it has been seeded in the Lower Brackets, where a loss against M80 will spell the end of its Six Invitational 2026 run.

In the tournament, many R6 teams have stood out. However, Wildcard has proven to be the unexpected dark horse of the tournament after topping its group during the Group Stage, outperforming regional league top-performers such as Team Falcons and FURIA. It is set to face off against FaZe Clan on February 10th, with a win placing the team one step closer to becoming this year’s new champions.
