Team Allegiance shut down operations back in 2017, but now it has been announced that the organisation has been acquired, and revived, by Infinite Esports & Entertainment. Allegiance is now one of a few esports companies under Infinite, including OpTic Gaming, GG Esports Academy, NGAGE Esports, No Scope Media, and others.
Allegiance came back in the same month it announced to fans it would leave the scene, though things had been kept under wraps until now. Players and staff remained active, though it was never revealed as to where the organisation would go next.
Neil Leibman, Co-Owner of Texas Rangers owns Infinite, and subsequently will run Allegiance alongside Chris Chaney, Founder and President, and Ryan “OpTicJ” Musselman, SVP of Strategy. This acquisition allows Allegiance to continue to compete and build up its fan base without having to worry too much about growing too quickly – which was its problem before.
Chaney explained that “We’ve been impressed with the Allegiance brand and are excited to welcome the organization to the Infinite family. As the world of esports continues to expand, Allegiance will now have the resources, infrastructure and support to become a leading esports organization and reach its full potential.”
The rejuvenated organisation competes in other esports than sister company OpTic Gaming, with titles such as Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Injustice 2, and Arena of Valor. Allegiance’s players will have access to training facilities located in North Dallas – in fact, some of the Rocket League team have already moved closer to the area.
Connor Hall, President of Allegiance, discussed the organisation’s new venture. “At the root of Allegiance is loyalty, and through the soaring victories and challenging defeats, the team has maintained that core character that kept us going. We’re excited to take on this new adventure together with Infinite Esports, and to bring our fighting spirit and loyal fans to new stages of competition, with more fun games to come.”

Esports Insider says: While it’s hard to say exactly how OpTic Gaming has benefited from joining Infinite Esports & Entertainment so far, it’s great to see Allegiance rise from the ashes.
