Esports\u00a0production company and tournament organiser DreamHack<\/strong><\/strong> has unveiled its full list of esports programming for DreamHack<\/strong> San<\/strong> Diego<\/strong><\/strong>, taking place April 7th – 9th.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n
The event will be headlined by the Rocket League Championship Series Winter Major. Moreover, DreamHack San Diego will feature the Snapdragon Pro Series North American Challenge finals, a Fortnite tournament and DreamHack Fighters, among others.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n
The event will mark the first time that a DreamHack event will take place in San Diego, California<\/a>, with the showcase being hosted in the San Diego Convention Center, a venue made famous by the San Diego Comic-Con. According to a release, the total prize pool for the DreamHack San Diego \u2014 the company’s first event of the year<\/a> \u2014 will be around $1m (~\u00a3830,000).<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n
The RLCS Winter Major is a $310,000 (~\u00a3257,000) Rocket League tournament and the first Major of the RLCS season. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon Pro Series North American competition will include Brawl Stars and Clash of Clans finals with a prize pool of $100,000 (~\u00a383,000).<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n
The esports segment of DreamHack San Diego will be rounded up with a $250,000 (\u00a3208,000) Fortnite tournament which will be available for all BYOC (bring your own controller) ticket holders. <\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n
Lastly, DreamHack Fighters will feature a Brawhalla $70,000 (\u00a358,000) esports tournament and a total of 14 other tournaments in a large number of fighting games, including Tekken, Street Fighter, Super Smash Bros and others.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n
The tournaments will be joined by a large lineup of other activations, such as the screening of the upcoming Super Mario Bros. movie, and the launch of Dream Big, an initiative to raise autism awareness. <\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n
