UK esports organisation EXCEL Esports<\/strong>, mobile network operator EE <\/strong>and the Insomnia Gaming Festival<\/strong> have announced an all-women’s VALORANT <\/strong>tournament.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n
The tournament will feature a \u00a310,000 prize pool and will be played offline at the NEC Arena in Birmingham, England during the festival’s next instalment Insomnia71.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n
The VALORANT Women\u2019s Cup will take place over three days through a group stage and double-elimination bracket. The tournament will feature 16 teams with the winning side earning \u00a35,000.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n
EXCEL fields its own female VALORANT side \u2014 EXCEL GC \u2014 in VCT Game Changers<\/strong><\/a> tournaments. According to a release, their team will showcase talents such as Cornelia \u2018Neli\u2019 Johansson, India \u2018cataLina\u2019 Dubourg, Safaa \u2018Purii\u2019 Baydi, and Camille \u2018Luzia\u2019 Millet at the tournament. <\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n
EXCEL streamer Daniela \u2018Jupi\u2019 Grald \u2014 a former player for their Game Changers side \u2014 will co-host the competition’s final two matches.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n
EE is a notable partner of EXCEL Esports, with the duo initially teaming up in 2020. Last year the two companies announced a three-year renewal<\/a> of the partnership. Some of EXCEL’s other commercial partners include HSBC<\/a>, JD and PCSpecialist<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n\n
Held twice a year, Insomnia features a range of LAN tournaments covering multiple titles including Counter-Strike, Rocket League and League of Legends. Alongside Insomnia, the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) 2023 Championship will also take place in Birmingham <\/a>on September 6th-10th.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n
