With attendees tuning in from all over the world tonight, Esports Insider had the pleasure of inducting three new members into the <\/span>ESI Hall of Fame\u2019s <\/b>class of 2020, concluding day one of ESI Digital Winter<\/strong> (#ESIDIGITAL).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The ESI Hall of Fame, which this year is being presented by <\/span>Singtel<\/b> and <\/span>GamingMalta<\/b>, was created to give credit and recognition to individuals that have helped craft this industry into what it is today.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It is with great pride that we invite <\/span>Naz Aletaha<\/b>, <\/span>Head of Global Partnerships and Business Development at Riot Games<\/b>; <\/span>Mike Sepso<\/b>, former President & CEO of MLG, now <\/span>Founder & CEO of Vindex<\/b>; and former Counter-Strike pro <\/span>Anna \u2018Laejten\u2019 Nordlander<\/b>, now <\/span>Chief Operating Officer, DreamHack at ESL Gaming GmbH <\/b>to be inducted into the ESI Hall of Fame as our class of 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

The digital event was streamed in two parts, first honouring Aletaha, and concluding with Sepso and Nordlander\u2019s induction. ESI Digital Winter programming was featured in between the announcements to suit the various time zones represented during the conference.<\/span><\/p>\n

The class of 2020 joins 2019\u2019s honourees <\/span>Hector \u2018H3CZ\u2019 Rodriguez, CEO of OpTic Gaming<\/b>, <\/span>Heather \u2018SapphiRe\u2019 Garrozo<\/b>, <\/span>VP of Marketing for Dignitas<\/b> and<\/span> Marcus \u2018djWHEAT\u2019 Graham, Director of Creative Development at Twitch – <\/b>who were inducted on the rooftop of <\/span>Nixon Peabody LLP <\/b>in Los Angeles.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The inaugural Esports Insider<\/span>\u00a0Hall of Fame was held at the London Museum of Natural History in 2018 with the likes of <\/span>Michal \u2018CARMAC\u2019 Blicharz<\/b>, <\/span>VP Pro Gaming, ESL Gaming GmbH<\/b>, <\/span>Jason \u20181\u2019 Lake<\/b>, <\/span>Founder & CEO<\/b>, <\/span>Complexity Gaming,<\/b> and <\/span>Chris Puckett<\/b>, legendary host & caster, christening the ceremony.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Both previous ESI Hall of Fame events have taken place physically, with<\/span>\u00a0this year\u2019s edition originally slated to be held during ESI New York in April. However, Esports Insider pivoted to digital events, bringing along the likes of The Clutch and The Hall of Fame online as well in order to still celebrate our inductees’ monumental achievement.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
