French organisation Team Vitality has announced that it’s secured a one-year deal with Adidas France.
The organisation holds teams in the EU LCS (League of Legends), Overwatch, Call of Duty, FIFA, Halo and Rainbow Six: Siege. The partnership will see the Adidas logo adorned on all of the Vitality jerseys.
Nicolas Maurer, founder and owner of Team Vitality, told Dot Esports “It’s a good deal, not our biggest, we’ll send players to Adidas events, they’ll invite us to specific events too, and they’ll showcase our teams on their social networks. The goal of the deal is to do more than just clothes and branding.”
It’s not first time that Adidas have got involved in esports, with new esports team North (F.C. Copenhagen’s recent acquisition) also displaying the company’s logo in a prominent place on the jersey, as seen below.

Esports Insider says: Adidas in the last few weeks are just the latest to get involved in esports. It’s arguably not surprising, however, with the market for jerseys and apparel fairly large. Manufacturing and being involved with certain team’s shirts is a pretty logical step for a company like Adidas.
