Counter Logic Gaming has brought Kia Motors on board as the official automotive partner of its Rocket League team. With this partnership will come unique content – including a piece centering around Chris “Dappur” Mendoza, one of Counter Logic Gaming’s competitors in the esports title.

Kia will act as the presenting partner of a special episode of Counter Logic Gaming’s ‘ROADS’ series, involving the aforementioned player. The series covers the stories of those inside the organisation including their “origins, drive, motivations, and key moments in CLG history.”

Kia will also present a digital content series entitled ’20 Questions w/ CLG Rocket League’. Rather self-explanatory by name, this series will look into Counter Logic Gaming’s Rocket League players from a behind-the-scenes perspective as they answer fun questions about themselves.

Nick Allen, COO, Counter Logic Gaming commented on the partnership: “Kia is one of the fastest growing car companies that continues to evolve and innovate. We are ecstatic to be partnering with Kia and shepherding them into the exciting industry of esports.”

This isn’t Kia’s first venture into esports, the automotive company sponsored the FIFA Interactive World Cup Grand Final in 2017. Counter Logic Gaming has added Kia to its pre-existing roster of partners: Twitch, Corsair, Legendary Builds, and OMEN by HP.

Esports Insider says: We’re really chuffed to see some thought going into this sponsorship, with Kia Motors specifically sponsoring the organisation’s Rocket League team. It’s obvious an ideal match with Rocket League involving impressive cars! We’re looking forward to seeing the content that’s released as a result.
