NODWIN Gaming is amongst the companies leading the way in esports over in India, and it has been announced that the company has appointed UK based agency Hugh Holland. The London based media firm is now in the position to sell international esports sponsorship rights for NODWIN’s current and future events till February 2019.
The partnership will see Hugh Holland drive sales promotion and sponsorship opportunities across NODWIN’s online and offline portfolio across the year. This partnership intends to see the Hugh Holland team work with NODWIN in accessing the global esports demand and channeling it towards India. The company, which started life back in 2005, works with the likes of ESL for the ESL India Premiership.
This partnership will cover that event, as well as KO Fight Nights, Mountain Dew Arena, Indian Gaming Show and Asus ROG Masters. The scope is also reportedly ‘open ended and can include any new IPs that NODWIN may launch in India with its international partners’.
Akshat Rathee, Founder & Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming stated: “With the global esports revenue forecast to reach $1.68 billion in 2021 (Source: Frost & Sullivan Report)), India is expected to have a significant role to play in the future. NODWIN Gaming has been a pioneer of esports in India and along the way has focused on building trust and legitimacy for the gamers and ROI for brands. The partnership forged with Hugh Holland is expected to allow us to increase our accessibility to new partnerships, while we aim to deliver better experiences to our audiences.”
Hugh Holland is headed up by CEO and Founder Tim Mangnall, who previously drove the retail arm of Clear Channel UK as the media-giant’s Group Head of Retail. As such, Hugh Holland look well placed to introduce more non-endemic brand affiliates to esports.
Tim Mangnall, Founder and CEO of Hugh Holland, noted: “We are extremely excited to be able to announce this partnership with NODWIN Gaming; as we believe that the potential for growth within this region is huge. We have been keeping a close eye on this territory for a while, it fits within our plans for global expansion and the direction we know our brand partners want to take. With a view to educating brands on the long-term benefits and value of not only the Indian market but international esports in general, we believe that NODWIN Gaming is the perfect match.”
Mangnall is a speaker on the ‘Where is the revenue?’ panel at our upcoming ESI Birmingham event on May 24th. This is a one day esports business symposium, tied in with ESL One Birmingham, and partnered with the likes of ESL UK, Intel, PwC and the NEC Group. Esports Insider says: Great to see a UK based agency partner with the likes of NODWIN over in India. It’s a company with great potential and is one of the leaders in a potential sleeping giant of esports. Hugh Holland meanwhile looks set to make some serious strides in the industry and it’s yet more positive news for the UK scene generally, in a year which sees the nation hosting two majors alongside other events and goings on.
