Counter Logic Gaming partners with Spectrum

Counter Logic Gaming (CLG), has announced a new partnership with the high-speed internet provider, Spectrum.

As part of the deal, Spectrum will outfit the CLG performance centre with dedicated Fiber Optic Internet service and will become a presenting partner of the centre’s newly renamed, Spectrum Gaming Lounge.

Nick Allen, COO of CLG spoke about the deal: “We’re extremely proud to partner with Spectrum and to usher them into the esports industry, esports exists because of the internet and it only makes sense that we work with an industry leader such as Spectrum. Every millisecond matters in esports and we wanted to provide our players with the best possible training environment.”

As part of the deal, Spectrum will also feature across CLG social media channels and live streams, though the internet provider will not feature on the teams’ jersey.

Adam Hobbs, Director of Marketing of CLG had this to say: “The internet is central to everything we do here at CLG and Spectrum allows our entire staff and players here at the CLG Performance Center to work efficiently and without interruption, when you have multiple teams practicing and playing here and a sizable staff running CLG’s operations, you don’t want bandwidth to ever be an issue.”

Spectrum joins a host of CLG partners including, Twitch, OMEN by HP, Corsair, Squarespace, Legendary Builds and Flexfit.

Esports Insider says: The internet is the lifeblood of esports, so partnering with an internet provider is a no-brainer for a brand like CLG. Plus clinching the naming rights to the CLG performance centre is a smart bit of business by Spectrum, much akin to a football team selling their stadium naming rights.
