Golden Guardians, the North American League of Legends Championship Series (NA LCS) team owned by the Golden State Warriors, has entered a partnership with Fathead.

The sports and entertainment brand makes licensed graphics for teams, and it will do just that for the Golden Guardians.

Hunter Leigh, Head of Esports for Golden State Warriors and Golden Guardians said the following in a statement: “This is a great opportunity for the Golden Guardians to expand our fan base with the help of Fathead. Fans everywhere will now have an opportunity to show their GGS pride with a wide variety of wall decals.”

There are now a range of stickers of Golden Guardians’ logo available for purchase on Fathead’s website. Fathead already has a a partnership with NBA franchise Golden State Warriors, possibly adding a bit of context as to why it has now forged a partnership with the NA LCS franchise.

Robby Hogle, CEO of Fathead also discussed the partnership: “Fathead has had a long-standing relationship with the Golden State Warriors through the NBA, and we’re excited to expand our partnership to include the Golden Guardians. We know first-hand how passionate the Warrior’s fan base is, and we look forward to helping the Golden Guardians build a similar fan base with our product.”

FlyQuest, which fields a team in the NA LCS, was the first esports organisation to get involved with Fathead – partnering in May of this year.

Esports Insider says: The initial offering from Fathead and Golden Guardians is a little underwhelming – it’s effectively just a range of stickers – but things will get a little more interesting once big heads are made for the players. This partnership makes sense considering the existing relationship between GSW and Fathead, so it’s not too much of a shock.
