North American esports organisation, compLexity Gaming, today announced an official partnership alongside WinStar World Casino and Resort, designating the 600,000 sq ft gaming destination as the exclusive casino of compLexity. The unification marks a historic moment as the first-ever US esports organisation to team up with a casino as an official sponsor.

“WinStar is a preeminent gaming and entertainment venue, and we are excited for them to become our exclusive casino partner,” said Jason Lake, Founder and CEO of compLexity Gaming. “This partnership signals a significant shift in the esports sphere toward making competitive gaming entertainment even more mainstream.”

Like many other well-activated partnerships between esports and betting houses, compLexity’s newest alliance is inclusive of many perks to supplement the union. compLexity players will see the majority of direct amenities from the deal, including access to the WinStar’s hotel, golf courses and concerts. In addition to routine appearances at the casino and other events, WinStar has the option of hosting biannual boot camps where compLexity players can train leading up to tournaments, complete with meet-and-greets surely to appease fans of the NA organisation staying at the resort.

“The high-energy and competitive nature of esports aligns with our focus on creating unique, high-energy gaming and entertainment experiences for our patrons,” said Jack Parkinson, WinStar general manager. “compLexity’s forward-thinking and innovative approach to one of the fastest growing genres of mainstream entertainment is a natural fit as we look toward remaining at the forefront of the gaming industry.”

With the rapid maturation of a once young esports audience, combining the fast-growing sector of media and entertainment with casinos is a play posed to reap weighty advantages over the next few years. Following repeal of an archaic PASPA law back in May, esports have been on the minds of sportsbooks and casinos more than ever as legalised betting on competitive gaming in the US inches closer by the day. The arrangement between compLexity and WinStar may place the two at the forefront of a coveted esports betting district prior to its enlargement while welcoming the next generation of followers into the space.

Esports Insider says: The intersection of esports and gambling has seen a collection of activity over the years, having grown synonymously, hand-in-hand; the partnership between compLexity and WinStar underlines an exciting shift towards competitive gaming budding into more mainstream positions.
