Overwatch League franchise New York Excelsior (NYXL) has announced Raynor Gaming as its official gaming chair partner.
The partnership will be launched at NYXL Shop & LAN, a six-week pop-up shop hosted in New York from November 16th to December 23rd.
NYXL Shop & LAN runs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the allotted time-frame, allowing fans of the franchise to play Overwatch and other titles and to purchase exclusive brand collaborations with UNDEFEATED.
Ben Nichol, Head of Events & Business Development for New York Excelsior discussed the partnership: “Raynor makes the best gaming chairs in the world and we couldn’t be more excited to unveil this partnership as we celebrate our team and amazing fans at NYXL Shop & LAN this weekend.”
In October, NYXL hired Mike Sepso, the Co-founder of Major League Gaming (MLG) and former Senior Vice President of Activision Blizzard. He became a Strategic Partner of NYXL’s ownership group – Sterling.VC – where he will focus on the commercial growth of the franchise through sponsorship and media rights.
Marc Fries, President at Raynor Gaming added: “We are thrilled to partner with the New York Excelsior heading into Season 2 of the Overwatch League. Last year, we watched closely as NYXL dominated throughout their inaugural season, and look forward to helping the team prepare for a championship run next season.”
Earlier this month, the newly-rebranded Dignitas entered a partnership with Raynor Gaming, equipping its players and streamers with branded gaming chairs.
Esports Insider says: The gaming chair market is over-saturated with brands, but partnerships such as this will help Raynor Gaming stand out a little.
