STS, a Polish bookmaker, has announced the launch of an esports specific section in its mobile application that will allow users to place bets on esports tournaments in Poland & abroad as well as utilise in-play betting.

The application includes a chat window for users to use when looking at in-play markets allowing discussion with each other over the game they’re watching.

“Being the trendsetter on the Polish market for years, STS is the largest and most innovative company in the betting industry. We were the first bookmaker to add eSports bets to our offer, which was followed by providing streams of selected eSports events. Now, as – once again – the first bookmaker in Poland, we have launched an eSports section in our mobile application, which is dedicated and tailored made section for eSport funs. As a result, eSports supporters may place their bets even more quickly and easily using smartphones,” said Mateusz Juroszek, President of STS.

He continued: “For the betting industry, the eSports segment is a perspective one with dynamic growth. It is more and more common for eSports fans to place their bets. Therefore, we have been investing in this area for several years now, expanding our offer with the most important tournaments in Poland and around the world, and streaming new eSports events on STS TV. The introduction of the eSports section in the STS application is another step of our eagerly pursued strategy, which aims to strengthen our leading position on this market”.

STS introduced esports betting back in 2014, and is one of a few bookmakers that runs separate social media portals for its esports offering.

The Polish bookmaker is the official bookmaker of Polska Liga Esportowa, a CS:GO competition in Poland, as well as supporting Pawel “innocent” Mocek, a Polish Counter-Strike professional. The operator has also shown support of Izako Boars esports team, and supported a charity match between some of the leading Polish CS:GO teams.

Esports Insider says: Always good to see more going on in the esports space, and STS has been making moves in Poland for quite some time. It’s good to see esports now on parity with traditional sports in the mobile app.
