Isle of Man-based esports betting operator Luckbox has announced a partnership with esports data and statistics company Abios.
As part of this deal, Abios provides data to Luckbox to support its efforts with match calendars and results.
To coincide with the announcement, Luckbox has unveiled the latest development of its esports calendar. The calendar provides a way for users to access information on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, and League of Legends events in real time.
Boris Mihov, Chief Product Officer at Luckbox discussed the company’s new partner: “Abios are world-leaders at supplying reliable, in-depth data on esports events. One of our aims is to provide our players with the best experience possible and a rich supply of information supported by Abios is part of that. Our calendar will enable players to find stats, detailed information and analysis about their favourite games, as well as providing a convenient hub to see what’s coming up and live streams.”
Luckbox is looking to launch its full range of services in the early portion of 2019. In August, it was awarded a full licence under the Online Gambling Regulation Act (OGRA) issued by the Gaming Supervision Commissions. This, in turn, made it the first cryptocurrency-support esports betting platform to receive a notable gambling licence by the Isle of Man government.
Oskar Froberg, Co-founder and CEO of Abios added: “Abios and Luckbox share the ambition of working to contribute to esports as a whole, providing fans with an enriched experience when engaging with their favourite games. We want to help the esports industry continue its strong growth, while staying true to our original mission. Luckbox is a project with some extremely exciting plans for the future and we are delighted to be a part of those.”
Esports Insider says: Along with receiving the gambling licence and making a number of key hires in recent months, Luckbox is gearing up for its launch in a solid way by providing live data through Abios. The partnership seems worthwhile, utilising the information obtained by Abios to provide value to users.
