ESL UK has entered a new deal with Currys PC World that will see the electrical retailer remain as a headline sponsor for the ESL Premiership.
The sponsorship will last throughout three seasons of the competition in 2019 and beyond.
Rob Black, COO of ESL UK tweeted about the deal: “Big plays from the ESL UK team in signing up the largest electrical retailer in the UK – super stoked to have them [on board] with us and the [ESL Premiership]. What’s great about partnerships with a company like Dixons Carphone is they genuinely want esports to grow in the UK.”
The ESL Premiership is the top flight of both Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Rainbow Six Siege in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. The competition aims to give a platform for amateur and semi-professional players to hone and showcase their talent. The Summer Season of ESL Premiership for CS:GO kicked off on the day of publishing, May 13th.
Intel extended its headline sponsorship of the ESL Premiership to cover all seasons in 2019 in January, with the deal also including campaigns that highlight the potential of esports in the United Kingdom.
Esports Insider says: ESL UK is doing a number of great things for the national esports scene and having the support of well-known companies from outside of the industry must be incredibly helpful. It’s good to see both Currys PC World and Intel pledge their support for the Premiership in 2019 and, seemingly, beyond that.
