Asian iGaming software supplier BBIN has entered a partnership with Taiwanese esports organisation MAD Team.
The deal will see BBIN specifically support MAD Team’s Arena of Valor roster.
BBIN began its search for an esports partner in 2018 and this is the first instance of the company getting involved in the industry.
A representative for MAD Team commented on the partnership: “BBIN has been cultivating itself in the field of competition events for a long time. We look forward to expanding resources and making efforts for better eSports through the cooperation between MAD TEAM and BBIN.”
MAD Team is currently in Da Nang, Vietnam, competing in the Arena of Valor World Cup. Representing Chinese Taipai, MAD Team qualified for the event through the spring split of Garena Challenger Series.
The organisation was founded by Hong Kong-based actor and recording artist Shawn Yue in late 2017. As well as Arena of Valor, MAD Team competes in Riot Games’ League Master Series (LMS) alongside recognisable brands such as Flash Wolves, G-Rex, and ahq e-Sports Club.
BBIN was founded in 1999, developing software and systems for iGaming since its inception. The company sponsors a number of exhibitions and events across Asia and Europe, notably those based on football and racing games.
Esports Insider says: MAD Team may not be that well known internationally but often times it’s better to start small to gauge the value of such partnerships. It appears as BBIN is keen to delve into esports further should it prove fruitful so we expect this to be the first in a number of moves from the company moving forward.
