As explained by Brett Diamond in his interview with Esports Insider, “We wanted something that was unique, but we also wanted something that stayed true to those goals that we started out with at the beginning of having something that made sense for this region. Eventually we came to RøKKR and really liked how that played in a lot of different ways.”

“The logo itself is intended to be this mysterious helmeted figure emerging from the shadows and you’re ready to join the battle of Ragnarök,” Diamond explained. The brand has a main colour of purple and is accented with blue.

The franchise has signed Adam “Assault” Garcia, Adam “GodRx” Brown, Justin “SiLLY” Fargo, Alex “Alexx” Carpenter, Obaid “Asim” Asim, Kaden “Exceed” Stockdale, and Devin “TTinyy” Robinson to its roster. It has also recruited Jacob “REPPIN” Trobaugh and Brian “Saintt” Baroska as its analyst and head coach, respectively.

Esports Insider spoke with Ashley “MiDNiTE” Glassel on joining Minnesota RøKKR when it was announced in August. We also chatted with Diamond at this year’s Call of Duty World League Championship later that month.

Franchises that have been confirmed at the time of writing include London Royal RavensDallas EmpireLos Angeles GuerrillasNew York SublinersOpTic Gaming Los AngelesToronto UltraAtlanta FaZe, and Florida Mutineers.

Franchises yet to be revealed are as follows: NRG Esports’ Chicago, c0ntact Gaming’s Paris, and Enthusiast Gaming’s Seattle.

Esports Insider says: This brand certainly stands out among the others that have been announced so far. It’s cool to see that a lot of thought went into it, from its ties to both Norse mythology and the Minnesota Vikings. While we’re sure not everybody will love what WISE Ventures Esports went with, it’ll likely resonate with its local fan base.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
