GG Group, the parent company of Chaos Esports Club, has revealed rappers Logic and Pusha-T as co-owners.
According to a report by Complex, Pusha T has been part of the ownership group for almost two years — though this wasn’t known publicly until now. There’s no word on whether Logic, as well as other co-owners, joined at the same time or more recently.

As GG Group gears up for the “next chapter in its increasingly compelling story,” it has revealed its notable co-owners to garner more eyeballs on the company. It’s reported that GG Group is preparing to release a number of announcements in the coming months in relation to the organisation.
An open letter on Chaos’ website details a number of new initiatives put together by the company, including supporting grassroots organisations, pushing for diversity and inclusivity, and inviting the community to “crowdsource high impact opportunities for us.”
GG Group is under the umbrella of PMML Corp — which also owns and operates esports bookmaker Rivalry, production company Do No Peek Entertainment, and competitive platform PlayVIG – and is looking to utilise Chaos to “provide authentic and immersive content related to gaming” that includes “livestream events, short-form features, and more.”

Upscale Vandal, Chris Zarou, Summer Watson, Billy Levy, and Zack Zeldin have also been named as part of the GG Group ownership group, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.
Pusha-T, real name Terrence LeVarr Thornton, told Complex: “I’ve been a part of this ownership group close to two years now and since the beginning my main call to action was to focus on the lack of inclusion and diversity in the gaming industry.
“As we’ve been developing the new infrastructure leading up to a relaunch, I just felt there was no better time to harp on our namesake then when there’s actual Chaos erupting outside. Any business I’m a part of has to be proactive in using its resources and platform to support the fight against social injustice.”

In all seriousness, it’s clear that GG Group has some ambitions plans to change how it approaches esports and dozens of celebrities have been interested in the industry for some time now, so this is interesting but not overly surprising to see.
