New York-based modelling agency Ford Models has announced it is launching a division dedicated to esports and gaming.
Ford Models Esports and Gaming will represent talent within the gaming and esports industry alongside working with leagues and stakeholders to assist in the promotion of esports.

Names on the initial list of talent include Cavs Legion NBA 2K League player Timothy “oLarry” Anselimo and esports caster Paul “Rabies” Santoro.
Justin M. Jacobson, who will direct the newly-formed division, spoke on its launch in a release: “With the creation of this new division at Ford, we are carefully selecting professional gamers, content creators, coaches, influencers and other talent who are dynamic and multi-faceted with strong personal brand potential, in addition to being at the top of their respective fields.
“Ford offers an unparalleled brand, network, and approach to development which we will leverage to support the success of our esports and gaming talent, as Ford has with its roster of leading celebrities worldwide for decades. I’m excited to draw upon my experience and expertise to join Ford in building a leading global esports and gaming platform.”

Esports Insider says: Given its extensive experience in talent management, Ford Models entering esports looks to be a good move. With an impressive list of clients already on its books, it will be interesting to see how it stands out from other agencies in the industry.
