The tournament organiser told Esports Insider that it worked with Twitch to create a “unique commercial proposition” for brand integrations, utilising Twitch’s advertising capabilities and the sponsorship assets only found within tournaments.
Alienware’s involvement in the Ignition Series event will see it present content around the best plays and action throughout the tournament, including sponsoring replays. Gillette, on the other hand, will present the MVP award based on individual performance in the competition.

BLAST has enlisted FunPlus Phoenix, G2 Esports, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and Team Liquid to compete in its augural event working with Riot Games, with a €50,000 (£45,225.91) prize purse up for grabs.
Speaking on the event at the time of it being announced, Nicolas Estrup, Director of Product and Experience at BLAST, said: “VALORANT has enjoyed record breaking success since its launch in June and has fast become a fan-favourite – we look forward to showing the community what BLAST can bring to the table with our industry leading production and popular fan-first approach.
“This tournament will be the final Ignition Series for European teams and will give viewers the platform to watch some of the world’s best VALORANT talent go head-to-head.”
Esports Insider says: It’s interesting to get more information on such deals because it’s certainly not always a given. What’s perhaps even more interesting, however, is seeing how tournament organisers can bring brands on board despite an event being solely online. BLAST did a great job in its first Dota 2 effort and we expect to see solid, innovative results here also.
