Esports Insider announces its ESI Events calendar for 2021

We are proud to announce the return of our ESI Digital series, with our first esports industry conference of the year being ESI Digital Spring on March 30th.

ESI Digital Spring will be the first of three online events that will take place throughout 2021, with over 400 attendees, 60+ speakers, and more than 16 hours of live content and networking spread across the two-day event.

Currently confirmed topics and speakers for the upcoming event include ‘Checkmate, is chess an esport?’ featuring the likes of TSM, Envy, and Chess.com amongst others, a session by Bayes Esports on the format that makes for the fairest tournament, and ‘Brand wars – how are Chinese esports teams and brands expanding overseas’ with RNG, LGD Gaming and more.

Moreover, ESI Digital Spring will take a look at ecommerce and prize money payouts in esports with Nuvei, Prize Payments and StarLadder, with further sessions on investment, fan engagement and plenty more already confirmed and to be announced.

Details on ESI Digital Summer and Winter will be revealed in due time, however, esports data firm GRID will return as a Gold partner for the ESI Digital series across the three events.  Bayes Esports, Davis Wright Tremaine and REELY will also join GRID as a partner of ESI Digital Spring.

In addition, we are excited to announce a new crossover partnership with SPORTEL, a world leader in sports media and technology industry events. The firm will collaborate with ESI on the events throughout the year.

Laurent Puons, CEO, SPORTEL commented: “SPORTEL as the world leader in sports media rights business events, is committed to developing new channels for our community to explore creative opportunities with parallel ecosystems.

“This is why I am very pleased to collaborate with ESI as the benchmark in the esports events space and I am convinced that both our communities will benefit from this strategic crossover partnership.”

Passes will be made available for each individual event, however, you can secure passes at a discounted price here by opting for the Annual Pass. All passes include access to the event, or events, specified along with on-demand viewing when the conference concludes.

ESI Digital will once again use event platform Brella to run the conference and provide access to a host of networking opportunities throughout the conferences.

Sam Cooke, MD and Co-Founder, Esports Insider added: “2020 was a challenging year for the events industry and I am pleased that we were able to showcase resilience and create an array of excellent virtual events. No one knows what this year will bring, but in 2021 we’re focused on quality over quantity. We will deliver just three ESI Digital events, but with the very best content and networking opportunities, and unrivalled speakers from every corner of the industry.

“So many of our prestigious partners have decided to join us again for 2021, as well as new industry leaders who recognise the immense value ESI events can deliver for brands.”

Away from digital events, we’re continuing to assess the situation in different cities globally, in Europe, NA and Asia, and we are quietly confident in being able to deliver an edition of our flagship conference ESI London towards the end of the year. We’ll release more information on that and other physical conferences as and when we can!

The full lineup of speakers for ESI Digital Spring will be announced soon, and you can check the agenda as it develops here. Follow Esports Insider on Twitter and Linkedin for all the latest updates.
