FACEIT and Ubisoft expand Rainbow Six Siege FPL into LATAM

Esports platform FACEIT and game developer Ubisoft have expanded the Rainbow Six Siege FPL ladder into Brazil.

The launch, set to take place on May 14th, follows on from the introduction of European and North American FPL ladders last year.

According to the release, FPL LATAM will share the same philosophy as its European and North American counterparts, whilst also adding a ‘unique local flavour’.

The Brazilian FPL will initially consist of players from Brasileirão, the Brazilian national R6 league hosted by Ubisoft, and the female Brazilian R6 circuit Circuito Feminino, as well as a number of brand ambassadors and other well-known players.

Each season will feature top R6 players from Brazil competing for $2,000 (~£1,449) in prize money. The leaderboards will be reset at the end of each month, except for the first extended season.

To compete in FPL LATAM, players must first sign up for Division 2 of the Official Ubisoft Esports Hub on FACEIT. At the end of each month, the top five players from the second division will advance to Division 1

Players ranked platinum three or above can skip this stage and apply directly to the first division. Each month, the top two players from Division 1 will be invited to FPL for a chance to play and network with professional players.

Esports Insider says: After last year’s successful introduction of the FPL ladders for Europe and North America, it was only a matter of time before FACEIT expanded the popular circuit into the LATAM region. This should help aspiring players in the region find their way into professional Rainbow Six.
