Philips’ monitors will also be installed in the newly opened PSV Esports Room, which is located next to the football club’s FANstore in the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
The PSV Esports Room is expected to provide supporters with access to the club’s esports athletes. Moreover, fans will be able to follow clinics and play games themselves. PSV’s esports players will also train in the room and participate in online tournaments.
The football club, which was founded by Philips employees in 1913, has cited that the partnership is set to last for one season at a minimum.
“We are very pleased with Philips Monitors as a new partner of PSV Esports,” said Frans Janssen, Commercial Director of PSV. “Philips runs like a thread through the club and that is why we are delighted to welcome them as official esports supplier to our virtual football branch. PSV Esports once again has a great and innovative partner from the Brainport region.”
