Due to the pandemic, DHL was only able to deliver six tournaments in 2020. However, the logistics company hosted a variety of online ESL competitions and provided activations throughout the digital events.
Arjan Sissing, Head of Brand Marketing at Deutsche Post DHL Group, added: “Gaming is the fastest-growing form of entertainment globally. I am delighted that we as a logistics provider are part of the esports world and that our partnership has been extended covering a broader spectrum via ‘ESL Mobile’. DHL is celebrated and beloved by the ESL fan base which is the greatest compliment for a sponsor.
“A great success was that we were able to unite gamers even despite online-only tournaments and I am looking forward to many more events to come.”

Esports Insider says: It’s no surprise to see DHL renew its partnership with ESL, however, it is very intriguing to see what both entities have planned for ESL Mobile. Both brands will be hoping to deliver more offline events this year as the world slowly starts opening up following the pandemic.
