Esports betting company and WIN.gg founder WIN Group has appointed Stephen Shoemaker as its new CEO.
According to the release, Shoemaker’s leadership will help continue WIN Group’s global expansion and keep the firm’s aims of innovating in the esports betting industry.

Shoemaker is an experienced esports executive officer with more than 35 years of global experience. WIN Group has stated that he has managed to raise more than $4bn (~£2.8bn) in capital and has overseen multiple acquisitions throughout his career.
The newly appointed CEO commented: “WIN Group has proven in a short period of time to be a company focused on leadership and innovation, with a sustainable, focused strategy that continues to result in high growth and excellent market penetration.
“WIN Group has a team with esports and sportsbook experience unlike any other, so it’s going to be a pleasure leading our team into this next round of growth for the company.”
Prior to joining WIN Group, Shoemaker gained experience in a similar role at publicly traded esports company Millennial Esports Corp.
Shoemaker also worked at international development company Asian Coast Development Ltd., where he served as CFO, and later as CEO.

Esports Insider says: Shoemaker is a strong hire for WIN Group, as he has accumulated years of experience through previous roles. It will be interesting to see his first decisions within WIN Group and the overall direction that he will steer the company towards.
