Esports and gambling company Esports Entertainment Group (EEG) has secured a partnership with betting odds company Oddin.gg for its operations in North America.
Oddin.gg will provide esports odds feeds to EEG’s betting platform VIE.gg. According to the release, this is the first time Oddin.gg will operate in the United States.
EEG has had a very eventful start to the year. The company completed its public offering in March and raised $13.6m (~£10.16m). The company also opened offices in New Jersey and acquired a betting licence in the state.
Marek Suchar, co-founder and Managing Director at Oddin.gg commented on the launch: “We are extremely happy that our first integration is live in the United States through one of the leading innovators in esports betting. EEG leverages the intersection of iGaming and esports, opening new avenues of growth and bringing fans, gamers, and bettors together in an unprecedented way. All of us at Oddin.gg are excited to be a part of this partnership.”
Oddin.gg secured a gaming licence in the state of New Jersey early in 2022. The company has also signed a notable partnership with Betway in March 2022, that will see Oddin.gg provide odds for Betway in the esports sector. The company is also a partner of the Centre of Betting in Vietnam and is a member of ESIC.
Grant Johnson, Esports Entertainment Group CEO, added: “Launching our Vie.gg esports betting platform in the U.S. was of the utmost importance to us. As part of our launch efforts, we completed a thorough, global search for an esports betting solution and found Oddin.gg as the most reliable, ideal partner.
“We are thrilled to operate in New Jersey, the country’s first state to allow legal esports wagering. We are confident that our partnership with Oddin.gg will enable us to continue to grow our business.”
Esports Insider says: Oddin.gg’s expertise with esports betting odds will help EEG very much. The company aims to grow its esports betting platform VIE.gg in the United States and Oddin.gg seems to be a good partner for it.
