Rocket League Esports has refreshed its logo ahead of its 2022/23 competitive season, which kicks off on October 7th.

Additionally, Psyonix has revealed the location for the Rocket League Championship Series’ (RLCS) first Major of the season. The Fall Major will take place in Rotterdam at the Rotterdam Ahoy convention centre from December 8th-11th. The final two days of the tournament will feature a live audience.

According to a release, the logo ‘represents the future, while remaining true to what makes our sport great.’ The logo change comes after Rocket League Esports revealed details on the 2022/23 season. Some of the details announced include a refined format as well as a $6m (~£5.57m) prize pool split across Fall, Winter, and Spring.

September has been a busy month for competitive Rocket League. In addition to the RLCS, Psyonix also announced the expansion of Collegiate Rocket League (CRL) into Mexico and renewed its existing partnership with automotive marque Nissan.

Rotterdam becomes the second Dutch location to host an RLCS event. In 2016, the season two grand finals took place in Amsterdam with eight North American and European teams competing for $250,000 (~£232,250) in prize money.

Prior to the Fall Major, Psyonix also shared details on sign-ups for the Fall Open tournaments for multiple regions. Sign-ups for players close on September 27th and October 3rd.

Following the announcements, further information on tickets for the Fall Major and future events — including the World Championship — will be revealed in the coming weeks.
