Saudi Arabian esports organisation Team Falcons has announced a new partnership with coffee brand Barns.
Not much is currently known about the partnership, however, the brand’s logo has been spotted on Team Falcons’ player jerseys in social media content.
This partnership with Team Falcons marks the coffee chain’s first step into esports. Alongside Barns, Team Falcons’ other commercial partners include gaming platform STC Play and fast food chain Kudu.
Team Falcons first entered esports in 2018 and has slowly built up a reputation as one of the premier organisations in the MENA region. The esports organisation now has teams across many titles including VALORANT, EAFC and Counter-Strike 2, among others.
Over the last two years, the company has gained recognition throughout esports by signing notable names and creating international rosters. A prime example of this was in Counter-Strike where its team temporarily signed Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyljev, a player many consider to be one of the greatest of all time in Counter-Strike esports. Team Falcons also recently won Dota 2’s ESL One Birmingham event.
Barns are a well-known establishment in Saudi Arabia. The company recently opened its 700th branch in the country, solidifying itself as the largest national coffee brand in the nation. The chain is also the largest halal café chain in the world.
Further details such as contract length and if the deal includes any activations have not been disclosed.
