Evil Geniuses has launched its new immersive fan app developed by Web3 developer platform XBorg.

Themed around the Evil Geniuses ‘Villainverse’, the app enables fans to engage with the esports organisation through quests, leaderboards, an EG Battlepass and exclusive content.

In addition, app users have the chance to win a variety of prizes, including:

  • Coaching sessions with Evil Geniuses VALORANT coach Christine ‘potter’ Chi
  • Autographed merchandise
  • Exclusive merch
  • Custom profile pictures
  • Tickets to VCT Americas in Los Angeles
  • The new plushie of Evil Geniuses mascot, Meesh

The app can be downloaded via its dedicated website.

Today’s announcement follows EG’s and XBorg’s partnership reveal from June 4th, where the two parties promised to deliver a fan engagement platform for the EG community.

Previously, the platform has worked with fellow esports organisations Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team BDS and JD Gaming.

XBorg aims to help bridge the gap between the community and teams by creating gamified fan experiences. Its platform allows teams to manage their own branding and user experience while offering fan engagement opportunities to fans, which award points and rewards.

Since its founding in 2022, XBorg has managed to raise $9m (~£6.7m) exclusively from individual investors.

Evil Geniuses Invests in New Technologies

North American esports organisation Evil Geniuses celebrated its 25th anniversary last year by returning to its original logo. The iconic EG logo and colour palette are also reflected in the design of the new fan app.

As a veteran in the esports industry, Evil Geniuses has competed in numerous titles such as League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Rocket League, Dota 2 and VALORANT.

This year, the organisation has welcomed new technologies to grow its fan base. In February, EG launched an AI chatbot of Meesh in collaboration with its existing partner Theta Labs, which specialises in decentralised cloud infrastructure.

Other EG partners include advocacy organisation Global Citizen, financial solutions provider Apex Fintech Solutions, insurance company We Insure, financial education app Zogo and financial services company Peak6.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
