New York, New York it’s a hell of an esports town this week.

Following on from the announcement of New York City FC’s FIFA series with Players’ Lounge, BRaVe Ventures has revealed that it is organising a Business of Esports Speaker series in the city in November.

BRaVe is ‘a strategic advisory firm that specializes in the technology, media, and entertainment revolution’. The company has attracted high profile speakers such as Team Liquid’s co-CEO Steve Arhancet, the Chairman of Team Dignitas Greg Richardson, Christina Alejandre VP & GM ELEAGUE and Craig Levine, CEO of Turtle Entertainment America.

Jonathan Pan, Head of Esports at BRaVe Vetures, told Esports Insider: “At BRaVe Ventures, we are focused on generating esports business insights, not sound bites. We are starting a Business of Esports Speaker Series to further that goal.

“We have partnered with student leaders at UCLA Anderson School of Management, University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and NYU Stern School of Business to host our panelists, a “who’s who” of esports executives and influencers. We will be discussing flash points and opportunities in esports in the next 12-24 months.”

The event has also since added Andy Miller, businessman and co-owner of NRG Esports, as a speaker.

Esports Insider says: New York was the host city for the debut of live VR esports streaming at ESL One recently, and now with the FIFA series, Barclay’s Center’s arrangement with ESL and these Business Series talks, it’s setting itself up to be an excellent esports hub for the burgeoning industry.
