Take a Valorant best-of-three where Team A is listed at -1.5 maps. They’ve got to sweep 2–0 for that bet to come in. A 2–1 win doesn’t cover because with the underdog getting +1.5, the adjusted score ends up 2–2.5.

Conversely, if you bet on the other side at +1.5, even losing 2–1 still gets the job done.

Futures are bets on outcomes that get settled later in the competition. A few examples include:

A parlay is a combination of multiple straight bets. The odds and the payouts multiply here. Going for a parlay bet can mean bigger payouts. But of course, there’s much more riding on it. Every selection must land or the entire ticket loses.
