A post went up via Medium yesterday with details of three positions for freelance writers focused on League of Legends and Overwatch. You can see the details below:

League of Legends writer (esports analyst)

We’re looking for an expert on League of Legends esports who can write definitive think pieces on the professional scene. When major news breaks in League of Legends, you’ll be responsible for stepping back and seeing how it affects the big picture. You’ll also be tasked with identifying and analyzing trends in the game, from the play of teams and players to changes in the professional meta. Applicants should be strong, confident writers who respond well to constructive criticism and can reliably file 2–5 stories per week. If you’re interested in applying for this position, please send a résumé, cover letter, and clips to [email protected].

League of Legends writer (game and meta analyst)

We’re looking for a League of Legends fan to write about the game from a gamer’s perspective. You’ll focus less on the professional scene and more on the game and community. When a major patch drops, you’re the writer who will dig into it to find what really matters for fellow League of Legends gamers. Applicants should be strong, confident writers who respond well to constructive criticism and aren’t afraid to have a little fun with their writing. You’ll need to reliably file 2–5 stories per week. If you’re interested in applying for this position, please send a résumé, cover letter, and clips [email protected].

Overwatch writer (news and analysis)

Our Overwatch writer will be tasked with covering the game and its esports scene as well as the community. Applicants should be strong, confident writers who are open to constructive criticism and can reliably file about five stories per week. If you’re interested in applying for this position, please send a résumé, cover letter, and clips to [email protected].

Esports Insider says: There are many budding esports journalists out there who struggle to find work so doubtless Dot Esports will overrun with applications. A great publication with a considerable readership, only the committed need apply.
