Evil Geniuses have announced that they will return to Call of Duty, with their brand-new squad revealed yesterday.

The team, consists of Anthony “NAMELESS” Wheeler, Jeremy “StuDyy” Astacio, Colt “Havok” McLendon and Jared “Nagafen” Harrell, and will compete on the PS4 platform. They previously had a team but in November 2014 released their entire CoD roster.

The team will compete in Activision’s new Infinite Warfare title.

Peter Dager, Managing Director of EG said: “I’m thrilled to make EG a part of the Call of Duty family once again. Hearing what Activision has planned for this year, along with finding such a talented squad with Nameless as their captain, it was a no-brainer.”

Team captain, Nameless revealed: “I’m very excited to announce that we’re going to be representing Evil Geniuses going into the new year. When we formed this team, obviously one of the main things we wanted to do was find an organization that will support us and help us hurdle those obstacles that are going to be in the future to win tournaments.”

He continued “and that doesn’t mean just practicing and getting better, that means all the little things that count. Being a part of EG is honestly a dream come true to a pro gamer. They’re one of the best organizations across all esports, and they’ve had some of the best teams. And there’s reasons behind that – they have some of the best sponsors, and their management is always working with the players, to enable them and make sure that they’re focusing on playing the game and getting better.”

Esports Insider says: They haven’t had a CoD roster for quite a while so it’s good to see one of the biggest names in esports reentering the scene. They’ve picked up a talented roster and they’ll be a team to keep an eye out going into MLG Vegas at the start of December.

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
