The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) have agreed terms with beIN SPORTS and Webedia for the broadcasting of the previously announced e-Ligue 1

It comes a month after the announcement of  e-Ligue 1, brought to fruition through a partnership between EA Sports and the LFP to launch the first “e” version of a traditional football league.

Additionally further details on the tournament were released. The website, www.e-ligue1.com has been launched where registration for the event is now open. The 2016-2017 season has been split into three events:

  1. A “Winter Tournament” from November 2016 to January 2017;
  2. A “Spring Tournament” from February 2017 to March 2017;
  3. Play-Offs in May 2017.

There will be qualifying phases for each tournament, held online before the LAN event which will see the 40 winners (20 XBOX and 20 PS4) representing the teams of each of the 20 clubs in Ligue 1. The two winners of the final phase (one XBOX and one PS4) will qualify for the “Ultimate Team Championship Series Regional Final”. The play-offs will then be comprised of the four winners of the winter and spring tournaments.

The winners of the XBOX/PS4 series will then meet in a final where one game will be played on each console to then decide the e-Ligue 1 champion.

Mathieu Ficot, Economic Development Manager of LFP said:

“This partnership strengthens the links between the LFP and beIN SPORTS, already official broadcaster of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 for many seasons. We are also very pleased to have a new partner, Webedia who are very involved in eSports. This agreement will enable the e-Ligue 1 receive high exposure from launch with both football fans and gamer communities.”

Esports Insider says: It’s great to see that they have official broadcasting rights for the e-Ligue 1. It’s been a while since we’ve heard any further information but this is a great step in the right direction. Webedia have shown in recent months how their expertise in esports can lend itself to great success. They were ultimately behind the great launch of Paris Saint-Germain into esports so we’re excited to see what they have planned for this.

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
