Echo Fox have entered the FGC community by making a strong commitment with the signings of pro players in Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat X and Super Smash Bros.

From the Street Fighter scene Justin Wong, Hajime ‘Tokido’ Taniguchi, Yusuke Momochi, and Yuko ‘ChocoBlanka’ Momochi have signed to the org as have Mortal Kombat X pair Dominique ‘SonicFox’ McLean and Brad ‘Scar’ Vaughn.

Add to this mix Super Smash Bros. player Leonardo ‘MKLeo’ Lopez Perez as well as Antonio Javier (formerly of Evil Geniuses) to manage the FGC roster.

Make no mistake this is a serious move into FGC. Echo Fox has picked up renowned professionals in three titles with SonicFox in particular arguably the best in the world and one of the best ever despite being only 18. Wong meanwhile is an FGC legend and has won numerous titles.

Echo Fox Founder Rick Fox told Yahoo Esports: “From day one, our goal has always been to build the premier esports organization in the world, setting the new standard for professionalism, team achievement and player development and wellness. Today’s announcement demonstrates our willingness to think big, think global and execute a strategic battle plan.”

Esports Insider says: The FGC community is generally somewhat removed from the ‘major’ esports despite having a long running, large and fanatical fanbase. Echo Fox’s move into the scene could spur on a number of other orgs to do the same, but Rick Fox has picked up the current cream of the crop here.
