What do these have in common? All are (or have been) represented by German creative ad agency JvM (Jung von Matt). As reported by Dot Esports, this is the Hamburg firm’s first foray into esports and they’ve partnered with one of Germany’s longest running and most established teams. Mousesports formed in Berlin back in 2002.

Cengiz Tüylü, mousesports CEO said: “We wanted a partner that makes brands realise the power of esports. In order to do that, you need to be precise and inspirational at the same time. JvM is an innovative and hungry agency that knows brands and markets. It’s not only home in sports but in the digital sphere as well.”

The JvM sports division is quite new and was only established in 2013 but has since served the likes of the German F.A. (DFB) and more. The company is headquartered in Hamburg but has offices in Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, and China. Remember that heartbreaking Christmas advert with the lonely old man who missed his family? That was them.

Toan Nguyen, Strategy Director at JvM Sports stated: “The big media penetration of esports is one thing; the other is how to use it for the purpose of one’s brand. As a creative agency, our sponsoring approach is always content- and activation-driven.

“We don’t just want to sell logo placements but tell amazing stories. With its German heritage and its international profile, mouz is well-positioned in that regard.”

Esports Insider says: JvM has been responsible for some exceptionally creative and memorable ads for major companies. It’s one of the largest and most reputable ad agencies in Germany for a reason – expect great things from this partnership.
