SK Gaming can pride itself amongst the most established organisations in esports worldwide.

Having come a long way since its creation in 1997, the German team now counts Visa amongst its partners. SK Gaming is one of an increasing number of major orgs in the scene to embrace mobile via Super Evil Megacorp title Vainglory.

Why did they choose to do so? Esport Talk found just the man to ask this question. Martin Marquardt, the team manager of SK Gaming’s mobile gaming department, is the one responsible for ensuring the success of this new venture.

Esport Talk quizzed him on his journey to such a position within such an established team and how it saw him leading a double life for quite some time.

Initially, SK ran three Vainglory squads at once. Was this move a little overenthusiastic or did SK have a certain strategy in mind? Why do they have only one team today? And where do they see the future trajectory of mobile games?

Martin will answers all of these and more on this week’s Esport Talk episode.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
